To all of those who threw shade at me for predicting this...what now? Unless President Trump calls a SoE and treats this as the insurrection that it is, then the people are in a very precarious spot.
Can I ask why you predicted this? Do you think there is any hope in the SCOTUS for the other cases, or is it all fucked? What are the chances of Trump actually using the insurrection act? What are the chances of Texas and other states separating? Something HAS to be done. I feel like how people must have felt in the late 1930s or 1940s if you were in a country taken over by the iron curtain - my poor grandparents who lived through that - I guess I can relate now FUCK
I'm not saying definitively that SCOTUS won't do the right thing in future cases, only that their past behavior doesn't instill a ton of confidence. What I'm more interested in is whats going on in Trump's refurbished Pentagon/DoD, and that 2018 EO thats still in play. I dont think its a coincidence that revelations of Chinese spies in our government just came out. Its whats going on out of our line of sight that gives me hope. I swear I'm not a "doomer".
