Am I wrong or does it say the motion for leave to file a bill of complaint is denied BUT In my view we do not have discretion to deny the filing of a bill of complaint. Do they just need to change the wording and re-file? Someone explain this please because people are loading up their vehicles.
Motion for leave: https://definitions.uslegal.com/m/motion-for-leave/ "I want to ask the court something, but I don't have any right to ask for it (for any number of reasons.) I want the court to ignore that and listen to my complaint anyways."
Bill of complaint: "I was hurt, grant me relief."
7 justices said: "No we are not giving you permission to break the rules to file your bill of complaint." Further: "You were not hurt, stop complaining."
2 justices said: "You have permission to file a bill of complaint. However, we are not going to help you."
"You have permission to file a bill of complaint. However, we are not going to help you."
no they didn't say that. they said "we will not grant what you asked for as filed and have no comment on any part of the case" the 'even if we did accept it we would reject it' disinfo people are spreading is them saying they won't grant texas the OTHER things they asked for, which was texas saying this is so obvious you should just skip the case and grants us relief anyways. what they are saying is that no, they won't grant texas the remedy they asked for skipping any case, they need to refile appropriately.
