Dear Texas,

Do it. And in doing it, have a new Constitution without a central bank (Federal Reserve), no federal income tax, no federal departments or agencies, balanced budget requirement, gold-backed currency with a rule that no amendment can change that, no 17th amendment (a real republic form of government), and so many other ideas I have.

Thanks, Me.

No NFA, enshrined Castle Doctrine. "No Lefties allowed" written in the Constitution.

Sounds good. Getting a lay of the land, and a pede or two to have a beer with, is all I need. :) Bookmarked this comment. Thanks!

We are currently shopping for land. What's it like for 20ish acres in a place with decent access to goods and services in TX as far as you know?

So would folks getting a retired US military pay still get it if they move to Texas and it secedes? I hope so. We think it sounds good but it can get complicated when families would end up living half in one country and half in another.

I guess receiving retirement depends on where you claim citizenship, and not based on where you live but I am not sure. There are probably a lot of other problems that would emerge with secession. I understand the strong point taken by Texas and other states though and state sales tax of 2000% on Chinese goods sounds awesome if we can get electronics built here for a price conducive to the consumer.

Maybe the states could just decide that they will not pay anything to the Federal governement or accept any money, and then tell its legal residents they will be defended by the states for not paying Federal tax of any kind. That could get very interesting!!!

It's a fun thought but the world is over if the United States falls. You can run to Texas, they will still come for you. We fight collectively now or you better hope you have a way into space, that's the only place left.

I don't live in Texas. If Texas succeeds, the land I stand on is Texas.

Will need to build a wall to keep the commies out and have a small standing army with mandatory military service of 2 years. Gun ownership is mandatory. Bring back tariffs to fund the central government and bring back public executions. Court cases can last no more than 1 year.

Some parts of the Constitution of Texas will need some reworking?

SEC. 6. All free white persons who shall emigrate to this Republic, and who shall, after a residence of six months, make oath before some competent authority that he intends to reside permanently in the same, and shall swear to support this Constitution, and that he will bear true allegiance to the Republic of Texas, shall be entitled to all the privileges of citizenship.

.

The Christian Church of Chuck Norris. Big preference.

This has to change. "Diversity" does not work. No good creating a free Texas with a thousand mosques.

Third. No preference shall be given by law to any religious denomination or mode of worship over another, but every person shall be permitted to worship God according to the dictates of his own conscience.

This is good.

Seventeenth. Perpetuities or monopolies are contrary to the genius of a free government, and shall not be allowed; nor shall the law of primogeniture or entailments ever be in force in this Republic.

.

The foregoing Constitution was unanimously adopted by the Delegates of Texas, in Convention assembled, at the town of Washington, on the seventeenth day of March, in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and thirty-six, and of the Independence of the Republic, the first year.

The "war" needs to be won in the hearts and minds of every american. We're not going to break up the country - that's exactly what China wants

Fair enough.... which one of us is "the true believer?". Plan B sucks - I don't like plan b. Plan A requires a stronger stomach, but results in much less bloodshed and is actually more effective at winning against China (our real enemy here). Take a step back and think tactically. We have a long way to go before plan B. There is no organization, communication, training, ect - At this point, it's a big LARP.
