and i'm not a lawyer, but Hamdi v Rumsfeld says that US citizens who are tried in this way have the right to due process and the ability to challenge their enemy combatant status before an impartial jury

this would make sense why Barr has kept the information/investigation private, no?

maybe i am thinking too much into it, but a story this big, you'd be VERY hard pressed to gather together an impartial jury.
