I like l Corinthians, Chapter 15. Corinth was just as much a cesspool as our world is...and the church (that would be us) needed encouragement.
Also, The Gospel of Mark and the Book of Acts are full of action., and go very quickly while you learn.
yeah i got started a little on the old testament and then jumped to Jesus. Extremely powerful stuff. I read some of the Bible growing up but it was a bit more special getting into the Jesus stuff.
“And there will be signs in sun and moon and stars, and on the earth distress of nations in perplexity because of the roaring of the sea and the waves, people fainting with fear and with foreboding of what is coming on the world. For the powers of the heavens will be shaken.
Chinese flag is the stars. Nation in distress. End of world shit right here
Key end time verses, also very comforting. God is in control. Make sure you read these in the KJV because all modern "translations" edit these verses, among many others. God bless.
This one is technically tribulation application but still describes the current world perfectly. Goes to show how close to the rapture we are. Come Lord Jesus, Amen.
Not sure how close the mods watch new but I'd request a sticky for this post. This is probably the most constructive post I've seen all night.

1 Corinthians 15 is one of my favorites too. Some key church-age doctrine.
God has taken me to so many about exposing evil or how He hates it. Deuteronomy 9: 1-3, Isaiah 47 and 48. Pray and He will also lead you!

Psalms 144
Deuteronomy 28 if you want to see what it's like to live under G-d's judgement. We might be there.
Romans 8
1 Thessalonians and 2 Thessalonians. Matthew 24. But start with John. Unless you know Jesus, nothing else matters.
Obadiah
It’s short and you get to read a prophet unload pure wrath on his countries bitter enemy. Hate speech that’s MAGA approved.
Luke 21:25-26
“And there will be signs in sun and moon and stars, and on the earth distress of nations in perplexity because of the roaring of the sea and the waves, people fainting with fear and with foreboding of what is coming on the world. For the powers of the heavens will be shaken.

1 Thessalonians 4:14-18
1 Thessalonians 5:1-28
2 Thessalonians 2:1-12
