Trump caught them off guard when he got the nomination. The media gave him attention because it helped their ratings; it has been said, "the media created him, and now they despise him". Trump knew how to quickly jump to the top of the Republican field, and all the neo-cons assumed he'd collapse, but he didn't.
The American people like him, but the establishment assholes and their paid whores hate him.
Do a quick check go back and look over the last month. You'll see "Fox news is the only real news source" then it'll go to "Fox news fucked us, they're part of the MSM like CNN, but Tucker is alright". That'll go into "nah, Tucker is cucked too, fuck Fox and Tucker! Never watching again". That'll go into "here's a link for some news from Fox guys!" and "I watched Tucker/Fox last night". That'll go back to "Fox/Tucker are fucking compromised!".
That's because democrats are activists and conservatives are pussies. Don't believe me? Look at who we elect vs who the democrats elect. We elect feel good people who are nice, polite, dress well, say all the right things and don't cause a ruckus.
Democrats don't give a shit and elect people who will actually be activists and pursue their goals at any cost. They are united on all fronts while we elect people that routinely stab us in the back only for us to go "please sir, can you stab the other side of my back this time? the other one is getting pretty sore."
