The Insurrection Act can't be stopped by impeachment. He'd be legally in his right to imprison everyone involved, even members of Congress. It's right there in the Constitution, and several federal laws since then which have actually further consolidated power to the Executive under such times.

Wrong. There is no provision in the Insurrection Act that would allow what you're claiming. Congress has the power to remove a President as does the cabinet itself.
What authority would remove a president who has invoked the military to replace the legislature? Even if Congress votes to remove the president, what physically would remove him from the White House?
