I am going to teach my children that communism is evil. I will die proclaiming it if I must. I will tell others. I will influence them for a good and righteous cause. That is hard for me as an American, for I look at Patrick Henry's rousing speech, and have always taken great heart in him saying, "give me liberty, or give me death." I must admit that Patrick Henry was wrong, as he ought to have said, "I am free, and for that I am willing to die to defend it."
The term liberty in English common law implies that you are not free, but must be granted liberty to do what you want. To this day a sailor is required to be granted "liberty" in order to go where he would like when his ship is at harbor according to maritime law. Even paying taxes means that you are not free. That is why if you go to court and admit to pahing taxes, you cannot make a freeman argument. I argue that paying a Federal income tax is unconstitutional. I want liberty from that but it will not be granted, just like you say my speech will be infringed upon. But I have freedom of speech, and again I stake my claim to it now. I am willing to suffer imprisonment, death, public humiliation, what have you in order to be free. Do nothing? I am already set to work.

America is not her courts, her elections, her politicians, or even her documents (Constitution/Declaration). All of these things are worth fighting to defend. But America is her people. You and me? The patriots who love all those things about her? We are America. She will never die because of being corrupted in every ostensible way unless her people give up on her. Our ideals are too strong.
