Doesn’t the simple fact that this has gone to scotus mean they have to allow for discovery on both sides now? Even though it was denied I’m pretty sure discovery might have been the goal? Any input appreciated

The case is dead, but because it went as far as it did it allows both sides discovery, which basically means everyone has to show their hand

No it doesn't. The Supreme Court is the first and only jurisdiction for cases between the states.

It's dead as a door nail.

As I'm understanding it, since the States have not certified their results, the "injury" is yet to occur and issues remain State issues up to that point.
