The Talmud is not of God, it is the laws of man. But the Torah is the Word of God and the laws handed down to Moses His commandments for us. Jesus did not annul any of them.
Notice that all scripture used to "prove" that the law is dead comes from Paul. Whether that was his intent or not, I don't know if that's for me to judge. But ever since Constantine's persecution of early Christian Jews for their "Jewish ways" and the forced altering of their holy day from Saturday to Sunday, men have chosen to use Paul, who is NOT the Messiah, to overturn Jesus' own words. Mithraism and paganism were blended into Christianity, against God's express commands.
Peter, a Jewish Christian like all the other Apostles, and the "rock on which Jesus will build his church", touches upon this issue with Paul's letters, and the confusion they caused even then.

Edited for clarity, and also to add: of course, some of the laws depend on there being a biblical nation, with a Temple. We are strangers in strange lands, most of us. So it's a more individual contract now by necessity, which I suppose is why Jesus said He'd write the laws on each of our hearts.
