The hyperbole and snarkiness in the comments are quite disturbing. So here is an honest and sober answer to the question that is both tactical and self interested. Would I be willing to give my life for my country? The answer is YES. Am I willing to throw my life away in a emotionally engorged chimp out? The answer is NO. The way I figure it, if it comes to armed resistance or whatever you want to call it, I have one shot (no pun intended) to get it right. I will do my best to peacefully effect the change necessitated by the corruption and degradation of our formerly great system of government. I will do my best to work within the system for change.
I am not going to grab a rifle and run out on my front lawn looking for targets. I am not going to follow some half baked, self appointed militia leader looking to make a name for them self. I am not going to endanger the life and safely of innocents and call them collateral damage. What I will do is continue to inform myself, watch what is happening, advocate within the system where I can and be prepared to defend myself if violence finds me without my own provocation.
Should true armed conflict present itself in an obvious, righteous and unavoidable manner I will gladly take my place along side those who have earned the mantle of leadership in this cause. If the struggle is real and my life is lost, I will have died fighting a noble cause. If I go of half cocked because I listened to shills and trolls and die as a result of reckless reaction then my sacrifice is in vain.
So please be very careful in your rhetoric about armed conflict and choose wisely before grabbing a gun.
