I like the sentiment but I don’t see any improvement upon what we have now, except maybe removing the added 16th and 17th amendments to give power back to the states. Mark Levine has some interesting amendments that would add some more checks and balances, but I can’t imagine the sausage that would be made if modern people attempted a new constitution. Just look at the EU.

Who said a new anything about constitution?

I said, and more importantly, the declaration says, a new GOVERNMENT.

Because this one is broken.

The constitution is the vehicle that the people give up their power to be granted to the government. So after you Declare your independence, you have all the power. To institute a new government you have to define that government with a constitution and you declare which powers you are going to give up and give to it.

I don't think the original constitution is the problem, is it?!

The PROBLEM is the Democrats and the traitorous Republicans, as well as the regional courts and the SCOTUS that are not upholding the Constitution as it is WRITTEN! Also there is a 5th column of government unseen operating in the shadows! Therefore, a new government is required. One that will uphold the Constitution. Replace all of them. With honest people that will uphold the Constitution. And this right for the people to replace the government is in the Declaration of Independence.

The point is, government is instituted by the people. If the government is corrupt, it can be replaced.
