New constitutions, new opportunity to set things straight.
- No taxation of income or spending; taxes limited to property and tariffs of trade
- No state secrets; the government and its institutions have no expectation of privacy except for the identities of agents and operational information (passwords, ongoing military operations, etc)
- No debt spending and no national bank; issued currency must be pegged to a trading commodity
- Term limits
- Parliamentary system, because it's proven to be better at resisting the formation of big tent parties
What other things do we need to fix this time around?
Nope. Can let the old one fall. The people who will write it or vote would never allow a 2nd amendment again.
This seems a little like shilling to get conservatives to support letting the constitution go.
I don't think those people will be involved in it this time.
Come on Texas, secede already, let's get this started.
It isnt even close to over yet. We will have the country.
But why would you want to have something that's full of people who you will constantly be fighting for control?
That's why the answer is secession. Their half, our half.
