Gandhi took his country back from Anglo, Western, Judie-Christian invaders who had long ago given up their worst habits like the “administrative massacres” of Company and early Royal Rule. Even he had no illusions that it would work as easily on Nazi Germany or Imperial Japan, and his grand theory was that they would let themselves get killed enough in the hopes of triggering a moral awakening in the IJA.
My opinion on how likely this is to work need not be stated when the guy trying to invade India was known to be brutal even by WWII IJA standards:
He took it nonviolently because it was always implied that his millions of followers could still use violence if they didn't succeed without it.
You may be right.
HOWEVER
Don't forget how this country was founded. Violence, sadly was necessary.
I hope it's not.
But those afraid or unwilling to do what is necessary to FIGHT for their country will lose it. Period.

Self-Defense is important and so is not acting like AntifA terrorists, but let’s not kid ourselves about the risks here.
Tell that to the patriots who fought in 1776. There is a time for violence, to rule it out is ignorant of the facts or oblivious to the situation.
Violence is not the answer until it’s the answer. We’re not there yet and hopefully someone will correct the injustice before it’s necessary.
