This is bullshit, but I have never used or liked the concept of unlicensed taxi services. I'm not trusting a total stranger to drive me (a taxi would be bad enough).
I just ask the driver if he cares. Most say no. If they say wear one I tell them they don't do anything and put one on improperly.
One of those situations where I have to confront them because I'm not just going to do it. But if he wants it, it's his livelihood on the line and it's his car.
I haven't seen lyft do this shit yet, will be using them going forward even if it costs more. Fuck uber
