The Supreme Court has failed to mediate the state's dispute. You know, their primary function, thus invalidating the legitimacy of the Federal Government. As such, I will no longer pay Federal taxes. I will pay my State as I still believe in that government, but the Fed is stealing my money and for what? They didn't do their job so I'm not paying them anymore.

This is not an easy decision, but I ask that everyone join me in this act of civil disobedience. Until the Fed starts to work for me again, I do not recognize their authority- in fact, I am THEIR authority and as such I refuse to pay them. You should too.

So, say more, brother. Show the way. What advice do you have for someone who has W-2 wages taken out of his / her paycheck? Since you ask them to join with you, help explain how they can do so.

Demand your employer stop taking them out. Tell them you'll file and pay yourself.

Alternatively I think "exempt" is the other option

Buy rental property. Lots of tax perks.

CCP is currently stealing the housing market. Rentals are a no go from here on out. We manage about 50 homes. It sucks that the government has essentionally stolen these homes and given them to the tenants and WE HAVE TO PAY THEIR BILLS!

You start with your W4. Use the worksheet and claim every exemption you are entitled to. This will mean you get 0 refund at year end or even owe a few hundred dollars unless you get earned income credits/ child care credits etc. If you end up owing a few hundred dollars, pay it APRIL 1st. DO NOT FILE OR PAY EARLIER THAN YOU HAVE TO.

You can update W4 as often as you wish, and the IRS website has a free calculator so you can see where you are in terms of taxes you actually owe/will owe. This means legally they can't get you for tax fraud. It also creates mountains of paperwork to bog down the system.

List yourself as EXEMPT if, when reviewing your tax forms for the last 2 years, you were not a net tax payer. many people, especially students and lower income, are not. If you can, always list EXEMPT for the 1st quarter, since that is when they need our money the most to pay refunds.

Simply structuring your taxes so you are never surrendering more than you must by law will really hit where it hurts, since they have come to depend on Americans chronically overpaying to get a big refund. They NEED that extra money coming in every week. Make sure they do not get it.

Get everyone you know to do this. It's an easy sell when people need money in their pockets now and it is totally legal.

Beyond that, figure out the minimum you need to live comfortably, and reduce your income to that level. Moving to a deep red low cost of living area is an option for this, since if you adjust how you choose to live, you can get to minimal net tax payer status easily. PAY DOWN DEBT and stop making more debt to give you options.

For the illegal route, start a wildcat business (no paperwork), or work under the table. If you go this route make sure your living situation is stable, meaning you already own property or have a long term lease. because when it comes time to lease things, you need to show income on the books. That being said, people I know who do this get a paycheck job several months in advance of needing verifiable income for something, then quit that job after a few quarters and go back off the verified economy.

Transitioning to an all cash economy for your household works well regardless. We haven't had credit cards for well over a decade now. Vehicles are purchased used with cash, purchases made with cash or debit card, bills paid with debit card or money order.
