I know, but symbolically we celebrate it on December 25th, don't we?

Yes, we stole the pagan holiday, something to do with Winter solstice, i think, and decided to make it about Christ.

Or something like that. I could be wrong.

Christians mixed in pagan practices from the solstice as part of their conversion process.

It was a way to trick Christians into celebrating pagan holiday, from what I've read.

i've also read some good explanation as to the end of December likely being quite accurate in regards to the day of Jesus' birth.

Winter solstice occurs prior to the 25th, right? So maybe that could be true.

Making no claims, just that things are interesting to study, that's for sure.

I've heard astronomy referenced as a guide.. this site has it as Feb 28 https://www.astrotheme.com/astrology/Jesus_Christ

Wiki has it between March and April- https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Star_of_Bethlehem#Double_occultation_on_Saturday_(Sabbath)_April_17,_6_BC

And this theological website places it as late Aug / early Sep https://www.biblestudy.org/maps/birth-of-jesus-timeline.html
