Texas' standing was messy and SCOTUS also really didn't want to set the sort of precedent that that actual case could have. I do believe that Texas would have standing if electors had actually been slated in those states, but then the court would just argue that if Texas had an issue with electors, Texas could seek relief when they get presented to Congress.
Like he said, the court didn't rule on the merits of the TX case, just the standing. Trump has standing.

I agree too, but it was admittedly a "creative" standing argument. POTUS having standing in an election challenge is very clear-cut.
Part of me thinks ACB, Kav, etc. will find another excuse to cuck out. But as Rudy said, I want to force them to make those BS excuses.
