The CCP is the real enemy here, not the Chinese people. After all, it was ethnic Chinese people who were responsible for organizing the 1989 Tiananmen protests, as well as the current protests in Hong Kong.

As much as I want to agree with this, as someone of Chinese descent, I have seen far too much of the mainland population be completely brainwashed to have any faith that change will come from within. At this point too many people simply either sympathize or actively go along with the CCPs plans.

I am of Chinese descent as well, and I think there are still a sizable number of people within China who see through the CCP’s illusions - after all, it is hard to argue that over a billion people all think exactly the same way, especially when there are such stark cultural differences between provinces and regions. But due to the technological advances of the past two decades that have greatly facilitated government surveillance in all parts of mainland China, it is now much harder to organize a mass protest like Tiananmen compared to the situation in 1989.

Goddamn it I really do hope you are right but from my experience the last few times I was visiting Shanghai and talking to my relatives and others it just seems that spirit for change is lacking. But I do think that as China’s economy slows and the CCP can no longer keep people on the payroll more resistance will grow.

There are small riots and fights that breakout every now and then especially out in the country side.

You could say the same thing about the US. Just about everyone has been affected by the Marxist brainwashing that we received in school. Most people who get red-pilled have to go through all of their thinking to root out the nonsense. It's like what a drug addict or alcoholic goes through when trying to get and stay clean.

Good point to clarify. CCP and those who prop them up are the enemy.

Which will lead to the fall of the CCP. The reason the PLA hasn’t invaded Taiwan is that they are literally a paper tiger. The military is one of the most corrupt institutions in all of China. Imagine Saddam’s army but with nukes. Invading Taiwan would be suicide for the CCP, probably why they had to temper calls for war by the citizens a few months back.

Bit of both really. The Taiwanese military is small but motivated. They also have the benefit of having trained with US troops and well as the use of tried and tested foreign military hardware. Whilst I firmly believe the US will intervene in an invasion of Taiwan, the biggest weakness of the Chinese is the PLA. Despite the propaganda, the PLA is no where near as strong as it seems. Neither the officer and enlisted classes have any meaningful combat experience nor any real motivation to lay down their lives. The officer cadre are incredibly corrupt and really are business men at this point and the vast majority of the enlisted are peasants who joined to get a steady meal and an ok salary. That and the fact that Taiwan is fairly mountainous will make any invasion a slog through hell. It’s entirely possible that the failure to live up to expectations and fell such a small nation in one swoop will lead to a leadership struggle over the CCP and topple the government especially considering President Xi’s poor standing with the politburo and the general population.

This is exactly what we need to do. Show up and show out and identify our enemy properly. They get it!

Yes they do!

Yes, more of this please. Let's keep our China hate in check, I'd hate for our based Chinese brothers to be caught in any kind of crossfire. Our enemy is the CCP, not Chinese people.

Trump got the highest share of non-white vote (including Asian) compared to any Republican running for President since Eisenhower. So much for being a "racist".

This is why I repeatedly stress not to hate on all of "China." The Chinese people are being oppressed in an actual dictatorship, and many of them seek refuge in free countries. Can't paint a whole people with one brush.

I've attended several Trump rallies in Southern California this past month. The most passionate supporters were by far the Vietnamese-Americans followed by the Chinese-Americans. Not surprisingly, both know what it was like to live under communism.
