I never underestimate a lawyer's willingness to grandstand at the expense of integrity. Powell for sure has had some BS though she brought "expert witnesses" that weren't even in the field that they were to testify about. If that's the kind of game she is running we're fucked. She seems to exaggerate the evidence she has too. It might actually lead to what she says but she doesn't have near enough of it.

I think you're missing the context that they represent Trump and the left is actively pursuing prison time for him though. They have also mentioned the "Trump Accountability List" and many other things that suggest they would like to punish anyone for supporting him at any given time.
