I really don't know.

No one should be claiming a rushed vaccine is safe. No one should be claiming any pharmaceutical is safe without a minimum ten year safety study, but that's not the world we live in.

Perhaps this is a "pick your battles" type scenario. He has enough going on already. Also there are people who believe covid is real and want the vaccine so he has to be careful.
