UPDATE: We've received 650+ applications. While we normally leave the applications open for half a week, we'll be closing applications once this post becomes 18 hours old.

We hear the feedback about spam, trolls, and stickies.

We've been on Win exclusively for nine months now. During this time, we've added zero new moderators. Our entire team is carried over from the subreddit, but given the unprecedented growth, we need to change that.

The way that we recruit moderators is through temp tours. Historically, we have created a post calling for applications, performed a quick voice chat interview for those who made the shortlist, and end up recruiting 7-12 new moderators for a month. After the month is over, we review whether there's anyone who we want to retain as a long-term member of our volunteer moderation team.

Keep in mind, The Donald is run entirely by volunteers. We pay server costs personally, and have never made a cent from the site.

Applying to be a moderator

Send a private message message to u/TheDonaldModApps, answering the following:

  • How old are you? (range is okay)
  • Where are you from? (country or state)
  • How long per day can you realistically spend on moderation?
  • What times (in Eastern) are you available to moderate?
  • Who did you vote for in 2016 and in 2020?
  • When did you first join The Donald? (Reddit, Discord, or Win)
  • What is the most significant challenge that you believe The Donald (.win) faces?
  • Why do you want to be a part of this temp tour?

We are currently looking for volunteer moderators across all timezones.

Again, send your application in a private message to u/TheDonaldModApps - do not apply in the comments!

Applications will close once we have received sufficient responses.

THANK YOU.

Serious suggestion: why not make Donald Trump a moderator?
