Yes, they do background while you’re in there.

No. You only need a LTC (License To Carry) if you plan to conceal carry

Background check is done right then and there. You only need a license to carry. In TX you can legally have a gun in your home and in your car without needing a license.

The license is to concealed carry it.

The back ground check is done in store and takes 10-15 min after you fill it out.

The license to carry costs $40 and a class with a qualifying test. Very easy to pass.

  1. Generally, yes. If you have an unusually common name, might take a few days, but if the result does not come back in 72 hours, OK to proceed (at seller's discretion, IIRC). Private sales are not subject to BG check, though.
