Every day like 90% of people there are there for China virus test. It totally wastes out time. 90% test negative. Every tome we administer a test we have to tell the patient that local laws say they must quarantine until the results are in. We have to tell them this AFTER they get the test. Even if they have no symptoms. Many are pissed because they thought they were doing the right thing by checking and now they are out of work for a week even if they are negative.

The 10% or so that test positive start crying and planning for a funeral because of the media fear mongering. The democrat laws and media is making our urgent care facility a mess.

We are not supposed to. Technically they don’t have to quit or quarantine until the results but we are kind of supposed to make it seem like if they caught not quarantining they are in trouble. I don’t know how many people listen to our BS.

Also a lot of people I work with have a holier than thou hero complex. Whenever someone gets annoyed, often rightfully they are like “SIR I AM A FRONTLINE WORKER AND SHALL NOT BE QUESTIONED!”

It’s worse than that. Quarantining of positive is somewhat reasonable. If they get tested though, they are supposed to quarantine until the results are in like a 6-9 days later. Many don’t realize this.

Here another example- you a test and had to quarantine for 7 days as results are being analyzed. You test positive. Even though you feel fine that’s another 14 days. Then say you get over it quick and get another test to make sure- that’s another 7 days of quarantining as the test results are analyzed again- even if you are negative and have been for a while

I’m new at this place. I’ll start to skip that in more in time when I settle in. They might get pissed at me for that though
