WHY are national commercials 85%-90% black or mixed? I know I shouldn't really care, but equal treatment should mean somewhere around 13% representation.
Are companies this afraid of being cancelled?

I've also noticed a majority of commercials with black voice overs. In America, you shouldn't really be able to tell race by voice, but these racist ad makers make sure you do.
The ones in the tech ads make me laugh.
There are actually plenty that can pass as white especially over the phone. Kind of a survival skill for AA's.
Because white people are generally not racist so they will buy products even if they don't identify with the actors appearance, whereas a large number of blacks are racist and need to see an actor that looks like them or they don't identify with them.

Eh, I only consider myself white because that's how other view me. I don't really care. Lots of sexy black, Latina, and Asian women out there. As long as she is an American Patriot and she doesn't have porn of herself out there, skin color doesn't matter to me.
I'm not interested in racial consciousness. I don't think anyone in America should be or has to be. I don't hate myself, let alone hate myself for being fair-skinned. I will take pride in my accomplishments and the value that I have brought to my family, community, and job. I will not take pride in my immutable traits since I did nothing to achieve those, and find it annoying when the left and my fellow Pedes said I won the genetic lottery, albeit for different reasons. I will be grateful for the sacrifices my ancestors made to have me in the wonderful position I am in now, and will participate in certain events and rituals to foster a bond to my elders and long gone ancestors, but I'm not going to let that determine my whole identity. I live in different environment than my ancestors; I think it's OK if make adjustments to traditions to optimize my brief time on Earth before I die.
You're second point is somewhat right. A lot of my friends and acquaintances are white, followed by Jewish, Asian, and Latino, and I have few black friends and acquaintances in comparison. But this has little to do with biology but more just demographics of my profession and alma mater, and culture, because out of the groups I listed above, which one as a whole places the least emphasis on education and personal achievement?
I do appreciate these kinds of posts just because they provide a challenge to the beliefs I hold and I do find them entertaining because you guys tend to have a good sense of humor, but focus more on culture and less on biology is all I got to say. It's hard to do so because we inherited a racial lens from prior American generations, and in some cases culture and biology are almost interchangeable in a superficial way (black people/black culture as an example). But again, focus on culture.

So many people are detached from their ancestry in the US, and that's not a bad thing. How connected is GEOTUS to his German ancestry? Based on what I have observed, not well. I'm somewhat connected to some of mine, but not all. It's a personal choice. And this goes for all sorts of people. Most black people have no connection to Africa. Some of the Jews I know are not connected to their ancestral culture at all. We all have our own destinies to make.
Race is much more than skin color. That's why Rome was more technologically advanced than Africa was in the 19th century, not even having created the wheel at that point. Nor had a written language. Willing to accept racial differences externally and internally to a degree, but it ends at the neck somehow? Racial IQ differences are quite significant.
To ignore race is foolish. You don't have to think of others as superior or inferior, but to ignore it and surmise it as simply "skin color" is a joke. We are all connected to our ancestry through our culture. What is taught from generation to generation, our language, our blood, our legends, heroes, stories, shared conflicts, religion, it all plays a role throughout the centuries of our people. It shaped our legal systems, our behaviors and everything we believe. That is why it is being stripped from us.
They want us to be disconnected from our ancestry. That is their goal. To embrace degeneracy, atheism, multiculturalism --- all to make you a slave to your desires and consumerism. "Race doesn't matter!" While they flood us with migrants to exterminate whites. They love your attitude and carelessness, that is exactly what they aimed for.
You can not be interested in people's biology and still want a strong border with limited, legal immigration, accept Jesus as your Lord and Savior, and promote self-discipline and financial literacy to combat degeneracy, all of which I do.
You are ignoring the fact that a lot of these cultures benefitted by interacting with other cultures, and they too were a mix of people. The Romans came from Latin tribes that mixed with other groups that lived on the Italian peninsula like the Etruscans and Sabines. They "stole" a lot of their culture from the ancient Greeks, including much of their pantheon. Human history shows a dynamic process where cultures are simply not static unless they are geographically isolated, which leads to them being technologically inferior.
I will continue to view people as allies based on shared interests, goals, and cultures. Someone being white doesn't mean shit. Plenty of white people have abused me, and they would not have given a shit that our ancestors have came from the same continent. Have you ever considered that white people aren't some monolithic group? You really should.
Yeah I work in advertising and I'm often asked to find diverse couples and what not. I understand they are trying to appeal to a wide audience, but the funny thing about that is most couples are not mixed. Nothing wrong with it, I just feel like it should represent - like you hint at - a proportional percentage of the population.
Have you ever simply raised the issue with the people asking for this? "Why shouldn't people in our ads simply represent the population as it actually exists?"
Quite frankly that's not something I'd want to bring up with a client. Plus I live in an area with a larger than average black population. Honestly, there's plenty of black people that see this and don't care for it either.

Huh? The only Jewish nationality is Israeli AFAIK, since Israel considers itself a Jewish state. If by race you mean inherited traits (looking from a biological perspective, and not cultural, geographical, political, etc.), I would say that for a lot of Jews I know, there entire ancestry is nearly Jewish, so it can be argued there is a racial part if race = biology. What white nation is there? What state exists that declares itself "the white state"? White has no strict definition and is rather subjective. The US Census Bureau has a pretty broad definition of white, from people with European ancestry to Arabs and I think Turks too, as well as a decent amount of people from Latin America, who also have European ancestry.

The last one I saw with a white family in it had the "main characters" be an interracial couple complaining about their upstairs neighbors, who were stereotypical Bavarians tapdancing constantly.
