Preferably a town where you'd get your ass kicked for wearing mask.

TX, FL or TN. No state income tax. But as far as masks, I live in the most conservative county in TX and pretty much the majority of people are wearing masks. But if you walk into a store without a mask, they won’t say anything. Except Trader Joe’s but they’re CA based, so they’re nuts.

TX has trouble. The property taxes are out of control. City of Houston responded to Covid Wuhan by proposing city property tax increase. The country responded by increasing appraisals beyond the usual limit because "it's allowed in an emergency situation."

Consider being a small business owner. Sorry, you can't open fully, but you have to pay higher property taxes because of the virus.

Sounds like a scam to get peoples property cheap. Any politician or their family, friends caught buying property foreclosed on, or put up for sale because of it should be hung! Crooks

Houston sucks along with Austin and Dallas. I live in a conservative county. Property taxes actually went down this year.

Said State is very free, however it is not very populated and available jobs reflect this.

It depends on what you can do or are willing to learn to do.

Jackson County, Kentucky, 60 miles southeast of Lexington. This county of 13,000 people has voted Republican since the US Civil War, and voted Trump by 88%. Most counties in Ohio voted Trump 70*80% except where blacks live, and cheat, then its about 30% Trump due to fraud. My county in OH voted for one democrat (Kennedy) in the past 150 years, and the black guy here is real polite, as is everyone else mostly.

I want to know too. My sister lives in Florida and has offered me a place to live if I want to move there so that's an option but what are some others?

A shit-ton of people are moving from Caifornia to Texas - I know someone in Real Estate and of the ~10 people they are working with, all except 1 were tired of the liberal bullshit and were refugees

TX will be the capital of our new nation

Rural West Virginia. The libtards are practically non existant there and the ones that do exist know they'd get their ass kicked for speaking up. Cheap land generally and very peaceful.

We have narrowed it to either Montana or south Dakota. South Dakota is very free and really tax light. Montana is less so, but we have a lot of contacts there. No problem with hubby and I getting jobs in either place as we have useful skillsets for rural employment and manual labor.

Between those two, I'd pick SD for sure.

Also, are you aware of this website? https://www.freedominthe50states.org

Yep, it's a good one. Except I can tell you AZ ranking is more "on paper" than in reality. We are leaving AZ because the government corruption is getting ridiculous, not just the voter fraud. And the crime problems in Tucson are getting out of hand thanks to the city's bright idea of not enforcing laws so the crime rate on paper looks low. ETA: we spent the summer in Montana and loved it actually. SD is one of the few western states we have never visited in person. Hubby just wants good fishing and hunting (and micro scale hard rock gold mining, lots of that in the part of MT we were in)

I would go to Western SD over Montana for sure. Also, more Californians seem to be moving to MT than SD. Hamilton, MT, for example, got totally inundated by Californians in the past 20+ years.

city-data.com has voting history for towns/cities along with all the other publicly-available info.

Your state, your town.

Make it so.
