A single midshipmen in no way represents the Navy at large. I was a guard there in the Marines and these are just college kids. They haven't been through any basic training or anything. Not only that, most of them are the children of politicians or senior brass. Spoiled rotten

In the Army, the dumbest LT I ever met was a West Point grad. And I mean DUMB. I was forced to consider the possibility that an institution of higher learning based on nepotism might not be as apt at producing functioning leaders as we'd like it to be.
