I can’t believe anyone would be a cop in LA after this. People are now allowed to resist lawful arrest. On top of that, if the person gets hurt or killed when you are trying to subdue them while they resist you’re going to be punished. Fuck that. You would literally have to be crazy to do that.
With this in effect you would be stupid NOT to resist arrest. Worst case scenario you end up in the exact same position you would be in had you not resisted. Best case scenario you escape without being identified or they hurt you in some way making the arrest and you sue the shit out of city. Anyone with common sense will resist arrest no matter what it’s for.
Well, a drunk POC (because none of this will apply to white people), high on drugs will be able to come on to your property, with intent to commit a crime. You won't be able to defend yourself until he (if he identifies as a man) is actually inside your home, committing the crime. Only then will you be allowed to use only the amount of force to stop the threat. Heaven forbid that the criminal should be harmed while committing the crime. And, if you are able to act quickly enough to call the police (which is racist on its own because Black Lives Matter), he will be able to legally resit arrest and potentially get away so he can return the following night to seek retribution on you and your family for racism.
