Casting a shadow over your guy in midst of a contested election is a very poor strategy. There is no Kamala if joe doesn’t get to the finish line. Obama was extremely unwilling to support Biden and only did so after Trump called him out a few times for it. I think the plan was always to get Kamala into the white house, have Biden step aside and Kamala pardon him if he or his family ever did get prosecuted like they should have.
No doubt Kamala is the end game. But it is way too early for them to start that. Starting this early could end the plan before it begins.
