On a serious note: Thinking that a civil war might not only be possible, but that it would actually clean this rotten communist cancer out. We would have to have no mercy whatsoever and violently root them out from every corner of the US. McCarthy tried to warn us all those years ago. Communism is a cancer that destroys natural humanity. A civil war would be swift. We easily win a civil war with just 5% of gun owners. That number alone dwarfs police and military combined and the military wouldnt touch armed americans in a guerilla war with a ten foot pole. Armed americans would be waging asymmetrical 4th and 5th generational warfare.

From what I've read/watched- the war isn't so much going to be about bombs. China doesn't want a crater to control. Plus they've already got a lot of property over here. They don't want to destroy that. The war is going to be biological, involve hacking, maybe cut our power, that sort of thing.

Sam Houston (of Texas fame) cautioned in not so many words that picking a fight with the north was tantamount to suicide and the south could expect to be ground down over time.
Kinda different this time... one side has 90% of the territory, almost all of the production, all of the supply lines, all of the farmland, and the vast majority of munitions and materiel. The other side has... a slight advantage in numbers. The vast majority of whom have nothing to bring to the table but kitchen knives and baseball bats and some pistols.
