Chinese investment continues to grow there and Panama sided with Beijing over Taiwan a few years back. So Lin is dumb to make general statements but the Chinese are all over Panama. They own multiple ports there, so you know they have serious influence.

A chinese company attempted this but failed and instead spent money developing more of that region of Egypt.
