China’s military base in DJ is just the tip of the iceberg. They’ve built a railroad there that they plan to expand very deep into Africa. The base there allows them access to the deep water port. It’s all part of their resource raping under the guise of “development” and part of the Belt and Road Initiative. Also, they definitely use the base to spy on us because we have a large contingent of special operators there. I have friends that are pilots that have been lased with green lasers from their base as well. All in all, fuck China. I flew from Addis Ababa to Djibouti and I was the only white guy in the plane (which isn’t shocking considering the region) and the rest of the plane was full of Chinese. Not a single African passenger.
