I won't be critical of people who are forced to make hard decisions because of other peoples' actions. However, I will never advocate for preparations that are illegal or cause undue harm. Taking actions to stop a threat is the only justifiable position.
I understand the sentiment, but that is fudd advice, and not legit. Warning shots, for one thing, are illegal, and will do nothing to deter a legitimate threat. I can guarantee you that there is not a single firearms self defense course in the U.S. that advocates for warning shots. We have a God given right to defend ourselves, but with that right comes the responsibility to be extremely disciplined.
Yeah, do us all a favor and DON’T shoot your fucking gun to get some minors off your land. They better be up to something nefarious. If you see kids walking in a field or woods you own, maybe approach them and remind them it’s private property. Most times they are just out with friends or family and wandered off public property. Kids and teens legitimately don’t understand directional orientation.
If you shoot your gun off and accidentally hit a kid who is just walking on your property, no amount of “But it’s my land!” is going to save you.
Hold on, NEVER use birdshot for self defense ammo EVER. Use 00 Buck 7-8 pellets or slugs.
