Imagine you are Putin in 2016. The world's largest economy and largest military, the Americans, are having an election.
If you were Putin, would you prefer a US president who was a wild-eyed newcomer to politics, known for real estate and TV reality shows, with enough money to not care what anybody thinks, known for doing whatever he wants? Flashy, mouthy, swaggering assertive type, checked by nothing?
At the head of the world's biggest nuclear arsenal?
A hot-headed amateur who decided it might be fun to go into politics at age 70?
Who is used to being in charge in his businesses, where he can just fire people? "You're fired" being one his tag lines?
Going into politics, where you have to get along, and you CAN'T fire anybody but your personal staff and direct reports?
Or, would you, Putin, prefer a consistent, known-quantity candidate, with whom you had previous dealings, a long time political professional, whose moves and ideas are predictable?
At the head of the world's biggest military?
Oh SURE, you would definitely spend money electing the unpredictable, eccentric, self-willed newcomer.
Never, ever the predictable known quantity, the lifetime political professional.
Not to mention you know the life time political hack has already been bribed a hundred times over by Europe and China and you can prove it. So controllable.
"safe space" "free stuff" lol
Except right now they aren't really competing against each other. They've all ganged up and are working together.
