For years now, I have hoped that nothing bad happens and I need to run to a government truck handing out supplies just to keep my family fed. Disasters happen. PANDEMICS happen. Martial law happens.

My family can go 2 months without food or clean water. Probably a good idea for folks to prepare. My guess is that I'm way behind the curve around here.

Yep In times sketchy as these certainly can’t hurt to stock up on extra stuff....certainly wouldn’t want to be immediately dependent on others if something bad happened.

I agree – I have been preparing quite a bit, maybe a year or so

Just to clarify: nobody can go 2 months without food or clean water - you are prepared with that in reserve, correct?

There have been several other good posts here in the past as far as what other supplies a good prep consist of like medicines, etc. also good sources on YT

yes - correct - I have finally built up the reserve which will allow us to purify water and have food for 2 months. I'm concerned about my ammo supply, but don't have the funds to build it up....

I imagine there will be some kind of barter system if shit hits the fan. Think about something else you might be able to stock pile that will be valuable in trades

You waited too long. Prep during good times and you can relax during tumultuous times. When the money was rolling in and prepping was cheap I spent thousands and thousands of dollars buying up everything I could and getting things on sale. . . back in 2017.
