I've been working around a lot of these companies over my life time and what I've seen is ridiculous. You get one Chinese foreign national in a hiring position in a major company and then all of a sudden whole departments become filled with only Chinese. They are literally everywhere. A couple of years ago I helped my boss hire for a mid-level position and two out of about twenty-five candidates were Chinese nationals who openly admitted in their CV to being CCP members. There were other Chinese nationals in the mix who didn't specify but I'm certain they were, too - I find it hard to believe China would let people out of the country if they aren't certain they'll toe the party line.
Luckily my boss trusted my judgement so when I made a fuss he immediately eliminated them from contention. I won't name the industry, but an unscrupulous person could certainly have accessed information relevant to national security and supply chains within the role.

I've been working around a lot of these companies over my life time and what I've seen is ridiculous. You get one Chinese foreign national in a hiring position in a major company and then all of a sudden whole departments become filled with only Chinese. Id say because of money not merit. Seen a instance where company I worked for was American based automation. Anytime we updated the software, they brought in indians to handle the SQL database. All were doing it for 10 an hour. And even though the DB was fucked they got paid and left.
Yes, I've seen this too. Companies will subcontract a lot of work to these type of engineer sweat shops. I should have been more clear in my post. I'm was referring to more salaried or career roles where they are paid more or less to that of their American counterparts. These people are competent workers too so it doesn't really raise any red flags if that department is still producing good quality work but it just so happens that department is 80% foreign nationals.

Problem with transalating the names to english is that there is many translitrrations.
You can translate to Mao's pinyin automatically and pretty easily.
Run the chinese words in the name column through https://mandarinspot.com/dict to get pinyin. This is very easy to automate.
Of course, this will get you only Mao's pinyin transliteration which is not that helpful as Chinese use their English names abroad.

Open the file in notepad++
Highlight a cell. (Notepad auto select every cell the same) use a translator service. Then just replace all with English version.
It will take forever. But if someone would break it up in chunks and a lot of people worked on it it could be done by day's end.
It's 1.9M lines, I can't find a translating service that will do this much.

It would be best to select one cell within dataset and use the find/replace all function once it is translated.
Your going to want translation formatted the same way as original file. To make it searchable for further research purposes.

They are literally everywhere. A couple of years ago I helped my boss hire for a mid-level position and two out of about twenty-five candidates were Chinese nationals who openly admitted in their CV to being CCP members. There were other Chinese nationals in the mix who didn't specify but I'm certain they were, too - I find it hard to believe China would let people out of the country if they aren't certain they'll toe the party line.
Luckily my boss trusted my judgement so when I made a fuss he immediately eliminated them from contention. I won't name the industry, but an unscrupulous person could certainly have accessed information relevant to national security and supply chains within the role.

Military docs were leaked that showed both Canada has been training Chinese military in northern Ontario for winter training, and sending Canadian military to China to partake in military propaganda. It's one of the more disgusting things I've heard about, but honestly wasn't surprised at all. Trudope has said he admires China's dictatorship, and he loves Cuba's too. I gave up on Canada years ago, just praying now the US doesn't follow our grave decline.
