I had this same issue several times in the past couple of weeks. I ended up having to re-save the image in a different photo app so that it was waaaaaay under the 12MB limit. 🤷🏼♀️🤦🏼♀️
Someone else commented on another thread like this that slightly cropping and re-saving seemed to do the trick for them—I haven’t tried that method yet, though!
