I feel this compelling urge to stand and say the pledge of allegiance.

I memorized the first paragraph worth of the Constitution. If you want to absolutely give yourself chills -- memorize that first paragraph or two of the constitution, stand at attention, recite your memorized section of the Constitution, and then immediately recite the pledge of allegiance behind it.

I assure you it will send shivers to your core and water to your eyes.

Yeah, not gonna lie...Schoolhouse Rock, and particularly America Rock, is why I learned so much about history as a kid. Probably even moreso than what I learned in school. 🙂
