Yeah, a lot of them were former socialists who specialized in their fields when they were young and stupid and only realized how fucked they were when they got red pilled. Now they aren't qualified to do anything else and live in constant fear of being found out. I think a lot of them are hoping the academy can return to being an actual bastion of education the way it was in the good old days.
