Untuck your twig and berries. Most people who lead meanigful lives and raise families are not going to prematurely eradicate anytime soon. If you feel now is your time you so what you feel you need to. That is on you.
Capitalism works great, is it perfect? Absolutely not. In no other system being proposed is the individual more responsible for their own success or failure. That lies squarely on you
I wouldn't say learn to code. But understand the sentiment behind it. It means adapt. I would however push trade schools and apprenticeships over 4 year schools. Lax immigration laws aren't due to capitalism, I would argue the proponents of such policies are in your court and against capitalism.
I run 2 businesses. General contractor and one doing inventory and stand/ road layout for large timber companies, consultant. If you can hang with the big boys and bang nails efficiently or cruise and do layout I would hire you.
I understand the frustration, don't let it get you down. There are more paths available to you. The nonstop flow of legal/illegal cheap work doesn't help anyone on the bottom end of our economy. That however isn't capitalisms fault but instead our inability to come up with good policies to shut the flow down. More work is needed.
Cheers
