I hope at some point we as a community become a little more introspective so that we don’t always look like we’re flailing with whatever random nonsense people will upvote because it makes them feel good.
We all know that until Friday, everyone was going on and on about how the Trump justices were heroes and how they were going to give us the win we needed because they’re patriots, and now look at what we have to say because we never considered that maybe they’re not the loyal allies we wished they were. The same goes for Barr. We can’t pretend that we weren’t gassing him up as some ultra badass who was gonna lay down the law, and now he’s a traitor too.
Maybe at some point we’ll get to the point where we don’t suck everyone’s dick just because they happen to be in Trump’s orbit. Because we look like morons doing that only to have to turn on them a few months later every single time.
I love Trump and think he’s done a lot of good for the country, but that doesn’t mean he’s absolved from any criticism. We might joke around and call him GEOTUS, but people take it too far and literally worship the guy, like every move or appointment he makes is the 10th dimensional chess move of a literal god.
We pump up all of his picks like they’re the second coming of Jesus but are flabbergasted when they fail to produce results. We thought this of Mattis, Sessions, Barr, all three scotus picks, etc etc. I think Trump has been ill advised his entire presidency. He’s a new player to the game, so existing swampies would intentionally steer him wrong. He even said in a 60 minutes interview that his biggest flaw is he trusts people too much. Could explain why he’s 0-3 in scotus successes.
Unforgivable. After everything we did for them, all the support, just for them to not only backstab Trump bur our Country's very foundation. It's the definition of Treason.
I have no problem with a female justice but it is kind of saddening that everyone seemed to play along with the game that just because a woman dies in the position out of spite that it must also be filled by a woman.
Not quite. They said they wouldn't grant immediate relief. Massive differenve. In other words, they woild not halt the process outright (inderstandable as they would want to hear the case first), but that they would judge their actions at the end according to the case.
This is not a cuck position, but the position of one who wants to follow the law as evenly as possible, which, while not the bombastic action plan that we all want, would be respectabe enough as a judge.
