Texas representative Allen West called for a union of states that would agree to follow the constitution. The constitution, especially the bill of rights, has been trampled on for far too long. We need some kind of peaceful separation for the protection of our own life, liberty, and property. If you like what Allen West proposes, write your representatives!! I am writing to voice my support for Allen West's call for possibly a new union. Whether it be Texas alone or other states joined together, for the protection of life, liberty, and property of all people in Texas a peaceful divorce may be needed. There is a growing divide in the United States that republicans have acted only to slow but not counteract. At this point the stark contrast in desired laws and regulations is too large for any kind of middle ground or agreement. We must either surrender to tyranny, anarchy, and mob rule or leave taking with us our God given rights endowed by the creator and supported in the constitution. Every amendment in the bill of rights except the third has been trampled on and ignored. For our own safety and health, we must band together in agreement to independently follow the constitution whether that be through ignoring federal government violations or through creating a new separate union. I pray you will represent Texas and her people well.
