it would require you to spend 8 hours a day at an outdoor range

No less than 10k per test. If the test location happened to be in the northeast, say somewhere close to virginia, then the price would necessarily be higher, mainly due to the inclement weather. 50k seems reasonable.

Were it to take place in the south, say somewhere north of the peninsular state of florida, then that would likely be about half the full price.

what would 10k per test get, say if i said for 10k I wanted you to go bag a wild boar with this concept weapon, you and one other with a reliable, time-tested weapon.

Your 10k would get results, that's what.

Mainly, a dead ass boar, whose facial features wouldn't be suitable to be displayed on the nightly news. If boars had burial rites, then this one would have a closed casket funeral.

For 20k, the other weapons could be tested on its litter, since feral boars and their young can do so much damage to a field of crops, a town, a state, or even a nation.

In spirit, maybe, but I'm a bit further south than that. We like guns here just as much as Texans, though. Especially love testing new ones out on feral boars, too. We have quite a few of them in the miami-dade and broward counties (they are not indigenous, believe it or not, as I suspect they migrated mainly from NY and thereabouts) and it would really be satisfying for your theoretical gunsmith to see his or her creations put to good use.

No, but the area of sugarcane and orange groves is my former stomping grounds, though. Now, I've "gotten more southern by going further north" to the heart of darkness known as the people's republic of alachua county
