Its ridiculous really. i've been fortunate that I have not had an issue with my job at all and pretty much the same for all my close friends. But of my closest group of friends - 3 are doctors, 2 professors, one works for the government and the last one works for a software company - none of them were effected in terms of losing their jobs (now the doctors effected from treating covid patients and professors to do remote learning)

But the five of them the doctors and profs are all totally fine with major shutdowns. Its crazy to me - I do agree that at first there needed to be a level of caution while we learned about the virus but at this point I dont believe there needs to be the same level of shut down like there was back in April. There been masks mandates and everything and its all shown to be ineffective. There has been more people effected and hurt (both short and long term) from the shutdown than the virus at this point.
