Relax brother, they are just giving you some brotherly love/hard time. I walk into everything without a mask until they call my attention. But I haven't had the privilege of converting anyone like that yet lol

TheClassicalLiberal 2 points ago +2 / -0

I was walking through a supermarket and walked into an isle. There were 5 or 6 high schoolers w/o masks. They saw me and immediately put on their masks.

I kinda shrugged my shoulders and said "I'm not wearing a mask." They laughed and slid them off.

Was the mask optional or mandatory per the store rules? ...where Im at we have a county mandate with snitches everywhere waiting to call health department goons on the business. The county is run by a tyranical psychopath and our GOP governor has left us to fend for ourselves. Over it.

this_mortal_coil 6 points ago +6 / -0

Based state here and I live in a small town. Some wear masks, but most don't. No dirty looks either way. That's freedom.

6
MAGASquatch 6 points ago +6 / -0

That's the way it should be. Personal choice. If they feel mask helps keep them safe, let them wear it. If you don't want to wear a mask, you shouldn't. If they think they are unsafe because you aren't wearing a mask, they should stay the fuck home.

IANAL

https://stopwrongfulconvictions.wordpress.com/2020/10/11/businesses-are-breaking-the-law-by-denying-entry-for-not-wearing-a-mask/

Also thehealthyamerican.org

You've heard of separation of powers, right? Judicial, Executive, and Legislative branches of government. How about 'Deprivation of rights under color of law'?

18 U.S. Code § 242 - Deprivation of rights under color of law

The 'mask mandates' are non-statutory and legally unenforceable. Only the Legislative branch has the authority to pass laws, not the Mayor or Governor. Ignorance and fear are the factors driving this nonsense.

Any and all laws repugnant to the Constitution of the United States of America are null and void.

Store policies may not override the Constitution.

1
Joesf23 1 point ago +1 / -0

Annnnd they toss all that shit out the window when we are in a state of emergency nationwide and state wide. Judges have already shot down everything we challenge from masks to shut downs. The constitution is great until a virus shows up. Then everything gets tossed into the shitter. Same reason why FDR was able to take all our gold and throw japanese into camps. Same reason why Lincoln suspended freedoms for the press. You think you have rights until the government takes them.

2
thebest2020 2 points ago +2 / -0

Trust me. It always feels surreal when shit like this happens. Good on you. Its why i shop local grocery stores when possible. They dont have cash to burn on bouncers at the door. Start there. Then go to big chains. Wear halfassed mask at entry not to cause a scene and take it off after. It says mask " required to enter" anyways.. good on you. Keep it up

It does read like this, but I can vouch for this effect. Friday night, I was grocery shopping and realized that the store had raised prices ridiculously in the past week. After the price hike was confirmed by a store employee, I ripped it off. I did catch a guy take his off after he saw me. I like to think I inspired him.

6
Olds77 6 points ago +6 / -0

I've had people at the gym take theirs off around me. It's amazing how terribly you interpret peoples emotions with these damn masks on as I felt like at first I was being judged and then they're like no, fuck this, and so many people are just wearing them purely because they want to go about their business and not for any other reason than not to get hassled.

2
LazySusan 2 points ago +2 / -0

At this point, I think a lot of people are doubting that covid-19 is a terrible, deadly disease. You'd know several people who have died if that were the case. I really think that a lot are waking up to it on their own, simply because they aren't experiencing mass deaths. The emperor has no clothes!

13
ItsAFreeCountry 13 points ago +15 / -2

And then, softly at first, someone started whistling the battle hymn of the republic, and then the whole fucking grocery store burst out in patriotic song. GEOTUS looked down and said "that was yuge"!

It's a game to me now. I've had maybe 5 places say something to me since February (never worn one either). At this point I just let them know my money spends just as good at other places, as long as they aren't assholes. I've unloaded on 2 calling them out as cowards, sheep and pussy's when they tried to get smart.

Be that spark.

I haven't shopped at Costco since the mask mandate. This weekend I plan on going in without one. They'll stop me, and I'll cause a stink, demanding the manager, then cancel my membership. Loudly.

There is literally nothing there I need or want. But I'd love to create a scene in the name of freedom.

15
Cyer6 15 points ago +15 / -0

Hate Costco. I think they and maybe Target were one of the first big box stores to go full mask Nazi across the nation by store policy.

4
Myzlplix 4 points ago +4 / -0

What else do you expect from a store that requires proof of residency to get a membership card. I was pissed when I waited in line to get a card and they demanded I provide a utility bill along with my DL.

I live in a small New England town, and the weekend is the only time you see people masked up. I walk my dog on the Green a few times a day, and the out-of-towners look at me like I'm the ass-hole.

I'm still not sure if it's because I'm maskless or because I walk my dog on a bright red, white, and blue "Trump/Pence 2020" leash.

28

Went and saw my doctor a week or so ago for a check up. Haven't seen him since last before the Scamdemic. As soon as he sees me, he pulls off his mask and shakes my hand. He knew I love Trump and started going full based and lobbing red pills. Shitting all over masks, riots, and the election. God, I love my based doctor.

I went to a very crowded grocery Store today. I never wear a mask and I refuse to. I also wear a hat that looks like a MAGA hat but it says make MAKE ORWELL FICTION AGAIN. It’s great because people don’t know whether to be triggered or not, and I hope it gets some thinking. I get all sorts of ugly masked looks, but every once in a while I’ll see another based human without a mask and I’m sure to smile BIGLY at them...I also make it a point tell them how much I appreciate seeing their smile. Everyone of them lights up like a Christmas tree! Bravery is contagious.

Zippythekid 20 points ago +20 / -0

I sold something today off of Craigslist. When the guy pulled up at our meeting place he put a mask on in his car. I grabbed for mine out of habit but stopped. I said fuck that and jumped out, within a minute he pulled his off and so did his girlfriend. Last night at home depot I pulled mine off in the decking aisle a guy walking by saw me and pulled his off and said hi. That’s all it takes

16
terablelizard 16 points ago +16 / -0

I won't tell you it didn't happen. But I'll tell you this, I have actually been fighting masks in my community since the mask bs sorta began in Ohio about 6-7 months ago, and in this time of me never wearing a mask and getting in a couple polite and a couple not polite confrontations, I haven't seen a single motherfucking republican loser in my 80% red county take off a mask.

I'm surrounded by pussies and it is infuriating.

5
Canapeder 5 points ago +5 / -0

80% red county and they don't take off their masks. Damn are they fking pussies, indeed.

4
Darksbane 4 points ago +4 / -0

I"m in the same boat brother, different solid red state. I'm the only one ever rolling into places maskless. It more than anything else gets me dooming. People I know personally are based as fuck, still cuck out and put on their muzzle the second they see a sign for one. Coming here is the only thing that gives me hope because almost everyone I encounter every day follows the mask rules while they complain about how useless it is.

1
Dialectic 1 point ago +1 / -0

No one walks the walk

1
MacBookProAR 1 point ago +1 / -0

I’m my state (OR) I would have no issue not wearing a mask if it were just confrontation, but here they have actually fined and tried to shut down some of our small businesses because they had REPORTS of patrons not having masks on.

So as much as I want to stand up to the mandate I don’t want to hurt a business that is probably already hurting.

1
Dialectic 1 point ago +1 / -0

I will say though I do know people who don’t wear the masks and fight it, including business owners. Few and far between. And sometimes there’s one other person in the entire grocery store not wearing one. But I’ve never seen anyone just take them off

My wife and I are basically the only ones at our large Catholic Church that don’t wear them. Against our bishop and priests wishes. I even sat down and explained my position in full to the priest 6 months ago. And my wife and i aren’t social people. We hate this extra attention.

But geez man, people need to wake the fuck up

My most recent encounter was with a grocery store manager. The shelf stocker said I had to leave if I wasn’t wearing one. Told her to call the fucking police because I’m getting groceries. Manager came out and I basically chewed him up and spit him out while he stared at the ground.

Ended up laughing at him that I’m “medically exempt” and he left me be.

12
JSullz59 12 points ago +12 / -0

I went to the grocery store pretty late the other day I had a few so I walked in without my mask got my items and left. No one confronted me but I flashed a huge grin at everyone and said hello and wished them a good evening.

9
suburbanma4trump 9 points ago +9 / -0

Hahah it’s my favorite. I’m just super friendly and smile A LOT when I’m out and about mask free among all the sheep. People don’t know how to react to a mask-less smile anymore it’s quite astonishing.

9
EricTX 9 points ago +9 / -0

I was in a Taco Bell today and some woman came in with her kid wearing a mask. I was there with my family not wearing masks, and walking around the restaurant. Next thing i know, the lady takes off her mask and is walking around without it too. I think once people see the first person without one, it’s almost like they feel vindicated to take theirs off. When Texas passed the mask mandate, I pretty much ignored it from day one.

1
Madpoli 1 point ago +1 / -0

A lot of people don't like masks but are forced to wear them. Sometimes if you don't wear one that can sometimes cause a chain reaction of people taking them off.

8
JessHarper 8 points ago +8 / -0

Where I live the big chain stores require it as a matter of blanket policy. Walmart and the like. But when you go into a local place with one on everyone looks at you like you're an asshole.

6
deleted 6 points ago +6 / -0
6
JessHarper 6 points ago +6 / -0

Here they all "require" them, by sign on the door, but they do the thing where they say "If you have a medical reason that you can't wear a mask, don't. It's none of our business."

8
HolyGrail20 8 points ago +9 / -1

Decided I had enough a few weeks ago - started going into grocery stores without any masks. Nobody has said anything to me. Then went into the snake pit and headed into Trader Joe’s. Cart jockeys said something to me and I said “uh-huh” and just kept going. Went through the place quickly enough for my 5-6 items and as I was going down the last aisle some guy/lady just lose it and yell at me for being an asshole for not wearing a mask. Just kept going. Decided it’s be best to just ignore them and thier entire mask ideology. As I went down the aisle the guy comes up behind me and rams his cart into the back of my legs and sarcastically says “sorry” and I just look back and say “no problem man - have a good one” and keep walking. They keep following me calling me an asshole but I just ignore them and keep going to the end of the aisle. I stop to “check my list” and see if the guy will escalate and as he walks past he bumps my shoulder and I just turn back around and head back down the aisle. His wife gets in my face and says “you’re supposed to wear a mask here asshole - put on a mask” and I turn to her, look her right in the eye and calmly say “no”. And go walk past her. Dude follows me down the aisle and grabs my cart as I grab my last item. As he walks to the front of the store to turn me into the grocery gestapo, I grab the cart back and just tell him to knock it off. Get the cart back and get into line as I am now done there. Manager lady comes flying up to me and says “do you have a medical condition for not wearing a mask” and I just calmly say “yes - as exempted by the governors order” because fuck them, I’ll use their bullshit rules against them, and the manager lady tells the guy “he says he has a condition” and just drops the entire thing. I check out, nobody else says a word.

It makes me smile knowing that that guy/lady had a meltdown all day with me (1) not wearing a mask, (2) largely ignored them and their insults/physical interactions, and (3) that I checked out without any issues, never having to put that muzzle on.

Fuck these masks. They do nothing to slow the spread and are nothing more than a control item at this point.

7
cucumbersandwich 7 points ago +7 / -0

I don't wear one anymore. They have asked me whether I have one and I just say I can't wear one. Thet can't ask why not.

Unfortunately I live in a dying leftist controlled cesspool, so if I let the mask slip even to take a photo I get "excuthe meee thhiiirrr"ed by every sparkling entitled little minimum wage snowflake in the place. It's the same at every store. I have a friend who can't wear a mask for health reasons, doctors note and everything, and we've had places force him to wait out in the rain. The Seattle area deserves the collapse that's coming now that the great work from home experiment has people like me unchained from our offices and shopping around to move away en masse.

Did the same getting the Christmas tree with the family, all 4 of us sans mask. The orchards required it on the wagon ride out to the trees, uncovered wagon, outside. My husband and I laughed as we watched people’s steamy breath pour over the sides of their masks (35 degrees out). As a couple got in the wagon, they started to put their masks on, but when they saw us, left it off. Feels good man.

I am consistently the only one in the store without a mask. Blows my mind I haven't worn masks for months.

Haven’t worn one in GA, SC, NC, VA, MD or PA yet. What a trip into CommieLand!

damn, I go weeks at a time before I see another anti masker. Today I saw one as she was about to check out. She looked homeless though. Then I saw a potential as I was leaving the store. She made a point to smile and say "hi" as she was going in. I didn't see a mask in her hand and she wasn't wearing one so hopefully she didn't do the last minute compliance that I notice so many do.

Last week when I went food shopping, I made the mistake of looking at the security guard as I entered the store.

our interaction

Me: Hi

Her: Hello, would you like a mask?"

Me: NO

Her: Okay have a good day!

To anyone still uncomfortable with going in without a mask, try it as an experiment. The worst they can do is ask you to leave.

Awesome!

I wish this would happen where I live, because I never wear a mask.

Lots of times people grumble about it to me, but leave theirs on.

I’m super happy you had this experience!

I have not worn a mask in any store except a bestbuy because they started crying and I knew a manager there and didn't want to start a fuss. I have not had anyone look at me badly. But maybe it is because I am from west texas and people are a little more skeptical here. Though lately I see more and more people wearing masks, makes me sad.

All the Christmas events were getting cancelled or having Santa behind a plexi glass wall. My family was so sick of all this hysteria ruining Christmas for the kids, so we made our win maskless Christmas event. Santa, mrs claus, cookies, crafts, music and no mask required. Over 250 came throughout the weekend. All enjoyed themselves. Some came with masks and immediately shed them when they saw they weren’t required. We got dozens of thank yous from parents. The majority of people don’t want to wear masks.

Had a similar experience getting coffee. Walked in without a mask and several people took theirs off after seeing me. Got some dirty looks but idgaf
