Councilman Duvall has informed me that the council does not have to consider the public's opinion when making decisions. He's also informed me that they will extend the COVID ordinance over and over again for AT LEAST several months, and told me to West one as ordered. He even gloated over Trump getting COVID.
If you're from the area, contact them and let them know what you think. Most of them are home tonight, too.

Charleston pede here. Most everyone here just ignores anything covid related. Bars are overflowing with people everywhere you go... which is how it should be
I'm disappointed by how many people are still obeying, especially downtown, though there are places where almost nobody does it.
I'd recommend contacting them and laying into them regularly. Remind Rickenmann he originally opposed restrictions because he thought they were unconstitutional.
Visit her social media in my links. You'll grind your teeth to dust out of fury.
Also, I'd recommend calling or at least texting. Emails are a lot easier to ignore.
If you call Davis' house number, his wife may pretend you've got the wrong number, so ask for MR Davis, not COUNCILMAN David. Good luck.
If we can get people together to do a protest, that would be great. Doing it outside their homes would be even better, honestly.
Just remember-- Duvall will insist nobody but you is calling. Of course, not only have other people share their responses with me, but he slipped up and mentioned other people contacting him--it just wasn't a lie because they weren't CALLING him. For a lay minister, he's not that honest, lol
