Serious question OP, have you never played contact sport ,ridden dirt bikes or watched ring fighting or gone hunting before ?

That is a well known reaction to a moderate to severe blow to the brain stem ,it is medically known as the "fencing response" it is a reflex reaction that causes a stiffening extension of the arm when someone is knocked out due to a concussion.

This is one of the things they now look at in on field /in the ring sports incidents as a indication of a bad concussion & increased monitoring needed before return to the field to limit mild traumatic brain injury, TBI.

Even going back 15 yrs ago when l first started Kick Boxing, anyone who exhibited the Fencing Response at the gym meant a upgraded medical response & mandatory trip to the hospital to be checked out & cleared before being allowed to continue full contact training.

Done all that, I'm 55 ;) OK except the two-go-in-one-comes-out, only watched it on Mad Max... We never had bike helmets.
