Didn't JFK get clipped because he double-crossed the mafia?
He wanted to disband the CIA, "Splinter into a thousand pieces and scatter it to the winds."
He didn’t bow to the CIA. Their decision to assassinate him was made when he did not support their Bay of Pigs invasion, which they had planned before he became President and attempted even though their Commander in Chief did not approve or support it.
Maybe this why Haspel hasn't been fired by Trump.
