I am in favor of this. However, if we default on China, nobody else is going to want to loan us money to keep our budget afloat. We would have to cut entitlements to balance the budget. There will be much screeching.
In the long run it will be good if we can't borrow any more.

Plenty of other countries will loan us money.
No one else will fuck with our elections or try and buy our politicians.
