It seems like the majority of people have no clue what is going on right now in this country. They just go on about their lives as if nothing at all is happening. I definitely get not stressing about this full time, but, at least for me, it has been hard to pay attention to much else.

Apart from people being oblivious, when they are shown information or told about what is going on, many just seem to shrug it off as if it is no big deal, like it won't affect them.

It has made me feel like I'm completely losing my mind. Most people that I talk to have no idea that the President is likely going to enforce the insurrection act or martial law. Many have no idea that China has heavily invaded our country.

And even when they are told about it...they still just shrug their shoulders.

Am I the only one that is dealing with this?

I have had a couple of flat-out shouting matches with my wife about this. It drives me out of my freaking mind. She doesn’t want to have anything to do with it. Everything I try to tell her, she respond with things like; That doesn’t mean that’s what’s going to happen. Or, you don’t know that. Or just, hmpph. Or, you’re a conspiracy theorist now.

But mostly she will simply not have a conversation about it at all. Like tomorrow is just automatically going to be like today which has been just like yesterday.

I’ve had shit thrown at me while I’m campaigning and she says “Well people are worked up about things and that’s what they’re gonna do.”

I tell her I haven’t been able to watch any mainstream media for more than 15 seconds for the last 4 years because they start bashing Trump. The response is; you never watched the news anyway.

No outrage. No concern. No questions. No discussion.

We have a retired couple living with us. Same thing.

I get frustrated with them and then they tell me I’m driving people away from me.

I could understand this from a liberal. But these people all voted for Trump!

You know the Atlas Shrugged story? John Galt? He disappeared from the society because it was becoming more and more socialist and suffocating him and his successful businesses. So he went somewhere where they couldn’t find him or get their tentacles on him. And he pulled others like him out of that society to be where he is and the society they left behind just rotted.

I just wanna leave. And go where John Galt is. And what I leave behind can turn into what it deserves to turn into.

I read an interview with a plane fire survivor.

He said as he was running to get out the exit door on the runway lots of people just stayed buckled up looking blankly around - and they did not make it out.

Psychology is weird. People want to believe everything is okay so bad they'll ignore a lot of things to keep believing that.

basedBlumpkin 15 points ago +16 / -1

If you look around and everyone is doing 1 thing, that's the thing you most likely shouldn't be doing. The average IQ of the population is not high. The average person is not impressive. Do the opposite of what the masses are doing. What that being said, that is what makes the collective hivemind of reddit the dumbest collective of people in the entire existence of life.

9
weAreStillHere 9 points ago +9 / -0

I try to be conscious of that. I’m a history buff. I used to watch this show called Connections with James Burke. In one episode he posited that the creation of the atomic bomb was dependent on the invention of the stirrup, which was a decisive factor in the outcome of - I’m thinking it was the battle of Hastings in 1100-something AD. And he walked the whole thing through, this led to that etc.

So I’m putting pieces together all the time in a way that makes my mind-set completely alien to what’s going on in other people’s heads.

Not quite the same magnitude, but there was a bus I used to catch every day, and in the summer I'd get on, and invariably it was packed and intensely hot in there, with the air conditioner off. On the first occasion, I just asked the bus driver if he could turn on the a/c, and he was like "oh, sorry, sure!" and turned it on, relieving everyone.

The same thing happened on at least 10 other occasions, to the point it became a habit that I'd anticipate it and immediately ask the bus driver to turn on the a/c as soon as I got on.

People in general REALLY don't like speaking up or going against the grain.

You just described my brother. They don’t want to hear it. The public thinks it’s a conspiracy because the MSM told them it’s a conspiracy. In fact, they preconditioned people even before the election to believe Trump wouldn’t go quietly if he lost

Consider this. Your frustration is because you know and you care. But remember, POTUS cannot just tell them, he must show them. So keep keeping tabs on how many begin to question, to wake up. It only takes them to bite on one issue to begin the awakening.

Most people don't know.

Figure 30% are informed of the gravity of the situation.

And 10% are actively for it.

1
Aspielogic2 1 point ago +1 / -0

The MSM does everything to jumble and discount the meat of stories. That's why they don't know anything. Family and friends are saying they are confused by how the news stories seem to say 2 things - it makes them ignore everything.

I opened my Aunt's mind a crack by saying how weird it was that Dominion Voting Systems is supposed to be OK, but when journalists went to their offices in Canada and US - they had poofed.

My kind, calm, never-swear 60 year old Aunt said, "Wait, what the hell? That's not normal."

I believe many normies can feel something is off. They just can't gather up the energy to look into it. The Covid Demoralization Campaign wasn't just about a virus.

26
OnlythisiPad 26 points ago +26 / -0

Normalcy bias. No one wants to know that their world is riding on lies. They just want to go back to normal. That’s why people are standing in line for the vaccine. They think the country will go back to “normal”.

As for the election craziness: the msm is NOT talking about it accept to imply that anyone questioning the results is a Russian troll or whatever.

Everyone I talk to is fairly based but the outskirts of my friend circle hits some liberals and they just “aren’t interested in my conspiracies”.

3
DL535 3 points ago +3 / -0

That's right. I feel this too, the urge to carry on as though everything is normal. It's just human nature and it's not even a bad thing necessarily, it kind of keeps human events from spinning out of control constantly.

But in a really serious crisis, it can prevent people from doing what needs to be done to survive. One thing I've learned from watching a lot of air crash investigation shows, you have to PAY ATTENTION to what is going on if you want to live in a life threatening situation.

Do you try to look extra nervous or wear full body armor at the store? Neither do I. If you saw me, you'd think I didn't have a clue same as I'd probably think the same about you. OPSEC isn't for quitters or dumbasses after all. Don't worry about them. When the balloons go up, we'll all figure out real fast who's been paying attention. 9
this_mortal_coil 9 points ago +9 / -0

Case in point. I am working from home doing mindless computer work. Our department communicates via a messaging app most of the time. Someone mentioned a sonic boom near here that had just occurred. I passively suggested it was possible it was jet returning to base, as we live in the flight and maneuver path of a major military installation. I also dropped a little knowledge by mentioning that there is an abnormally high level of military traffic currently. The comments? "That's strange!" "Wow, I wonder why there is so much traffic? What's that about?!" I just shook my head at the gross ignorance of otherwise "educated" people. I didn't offer anything else. Maybe one of them actually got off of their ass and looked into something. It's disheartening. The next message to come up was about some worthless football game on Monday night. God help us all.

That is how much we talk these days. We use to bullshit all night. Now i just read, then do my part, then read some more. Reading "war and peace" now

As a mom of 3 in the heart of Mini-Van-Soccer-Mom Land, I can tell you the majority of middle-class Americans have not been raised to have any emotional bandwidth for this sort thing. So I know it’s me and maybe one other mom who are practicing escape routes with our kids, dry fire drills, etc.

On a serious note, I’m trying to crack the programming in the women’s groups I’m in... I worry that if they come out of the Matrix too quick...that they’re going to have psychotic breaks when they literally see people being shot (or thrown outta choppa’s) for treason. These people are living in an alternative reality than us. Except ours is the actual reality. And people have no idea what is happening. Like a frog in a pot (but not Pepe!). That will eventually boil. I have been thinking about what I can do to be ready to help those people when they are ready to jump out!

3
Rocks_vs_Uzis 3 points ago +3 / -0

They will never jump out and you can't help them. They're already dead. It's like that scene in the 1985 Soviet war movie "Come and See" when Fliora was trying to warn the jewish villagers about what was going to happen to them. They just ran past him and followed the Nazi's orders.

Chinese infiltration into our countries industries and government both state and federal, Chinese/globalist bio attack ushering in the not so great reset and making everyone around us obedient followers that don't question what's happening because the CCP controlled media tells them that everything fine now that Biden is your daddy now. Their biggest concern is having enough toilet paper to wipe their complacent asses.Meanwhile I've stockpiled water, food, supplies (yes even toilet paper) and armed myself as well as been working out regularly and got in better shape then I've ever been in.

8
this_mortal_coil 8 points ago +8 / -0

Updoot! Right there with you, fren. My mom gets it, and my dad mostly gets it. My brother is a mainline conservative who thinks the Daily Wire and cucks like Shapiro and Knowles are "news." He went on a rant last night about how a lot of stuff (like The Donald) makes us look crazy. I told him it is crazy! These times are crazy! How can you deny that? We have a slam dunk case of widespread election fraud and IN YOUR FACE infiltration by the CCP. Yet he somehow thinks if Biden gets in things will just continue as mostly normal. I asked him, since he was so smug, if HE knew how all of this was gonna play out. We have a cornered animal that is about to get proper fucked. What would be off of the table?

I wish I could shake people like him to awaken. Go all the way! We have to collectively understand and admit where we are! I'm like you: how in the hell can I focus on anything else?!

7
IntegrityCritical 7 points ago +8 / -1

Have totally felt that same way.

I think it is because once you see, you can’t unsee it. I tell myself to take a chill pill, that I am overreacting, but then something else happens to show me this nightmare (unless God intervenes miraculously), is really happening. A lot of people just don’t have the capacity to face the truth.

I’ve noticed that I have to willfully throw out whatever premise is being spouted to me by the news and the more I notice the efforts of them to shape the way I think, the more infuriated I become. It is an effort even for me and that is one of the reasons why it is so hard for someone who hasn’t seen to face the truth.

We falsely believed we didn’t need God in our day to day lives. We falsely believed we were Nationally safe. We falsely believed that what government did didn’t really affect our day to day lives. We falsely believed we could fill our minds with trash without their being a consequence. We falsely believed that self-reliance and not needing anyone was the ultimate goal. We falsely believed we could replace real friendships with less messy virtual friendships.

And that is just the beginning of the lies we told ourselves.

If Truth is our goal, we have to list the lies in the light and in the same breath counteract them with truth.

4
DL535 4 points ago +4 / -0

Bottom line: we trusted the political class not to betray us. And that was a mistake. A big one.

7
WaitingOnTheDay 7 points ago +7 / -0

Nobody is getting organized with leadership expressing the repercussions of this not being corrected.

3
DL535 3 points ago +3 / -0

This guy gets it. What concerns me is if that does not happen and really SOON, it will NOT be corrected.

1
WaitingOnTheDay 1 point ago +1 / -0

I think the concern is that there will be worry that the lettered government agencies will be listening in, etc. I don't give a fuck. I am not sure there has ever been a successful war where the winning party didn't say loud and fucking clear, "We are going to act if things remain as they are, and you will cease to exist in any meaningful way!" Maybe the public or "leaders" don't listen because we are not communicating as one voice, a message with actual leadership. Maybe everyone is expecting that to be Flynn. He's just one guy and what happens if he is taken out of the equation?

I feel like a bunch of people can come on here and talk about using guns, using the ammo box, etc. No fear there? But it seems that any planning or organizing is not to be discussed. Strikes me as odd and it makes me feel like it's more talk than action. This is not going to be successful with a thousand lone wolves, which will attract very little support.

I could be wrong. I just don't think this is a time in our existing where 20 guys meet out on a farm and start a revolution. I feel like if we are large enough and loud enough, with the consequences clearly stated, we could get more action and likely avoid any violent battles.

Sorry. That's my rant. I'm done. Until tomorrow. :)

3
Itscrazytime [S] 3 points ago +3 / -0

You are absolutely right. I was talking to a family member about this. If Trump implements the insurrection act, he can call on the military AND the militias to stand up. He would be authorizing the American people to stand up and take back their country and it would be 100% legal and constitutional. If even 1% of his supporters stood up, you would have 750,000 people standing side by side with the strongest military in the world. It would be the biggest show of force the world has ever seen.

People act like this is something new but in reality, it's actually not that much different than average people 100, 200, 300, 400+ years ago. Oftentimes, the average person didn't care who rules the government because they had no say in it. To your average farmer, it didn't matter if the government was French, English, American, or whatever as long as taxes were reasonable and the government wasn't oppressive.

This still holds true today. Your average peasant, so most people you talk to, don't care who runs the country as long as they feel like they can still have a life. Most people's lives today consist of porn, sex, drugs, social justice causes, video games, tv/movies/books, dog/cat and that's about it. Presumably, they'll still have all of that under Biden and Chinese overlords. Few people understand how their freedom has been stripped or that they are being exploited for the true value of their labour by their new masters. This is mostly intangible and not something average people understand.

As I'm sure others have pointed out, there were very few Americans that actually wanted out of British rule, most Americans were fine with it. For the average person, it's easier to just accept new masters than do anything about it or even begin to understand or care.

According to my family (luckily my wife is onboard) I’ve gone off the deep-end by just questioning the mainstream narrative. You’re pissed cause you care. Unfortunately, eventually you’ll probably love past it and you’ll stop caring and just take care of those closest to you.

After my preparation has been done, I’m just sitting back and waiting to be able to give them all the “told you so.”

Sadly enough we live in the age of spoiled brats and others who have been taught ot will all be fine and they don't have anything to worry about. They take freedom for granted because they don't know anybody who fought for it. They have been brainwashed by the socialist agenda on schools. Lastly, the dems have corrupted them with Satanist cults of veganism, transgenderism, racism, and other rotten Marxist backwards ideals. The sad thing is they buy into it. I talk to anyone that I think will listen but who knows if that is the last they think of it. I hope not because there are lots of ppl in this country that are about to be in a,really bad spot if they aren't prepared.

This helped me a lot. Thank you. I try to talk to people about it as much as possible but it makes me feel like I’m suffering from overreaction bias.

But apparently, a lot of people fee the same way. And that definitely helps. That is part of their plan though. That is one major reason for these lockdowns. They want us to feel alone and helpless....well fuck them!

I'm have similar feelings. It is THE thing on my mind and it has been since the beginning of October. I was so looking forward to Nov. 04 with the glories of Trump's massive victory to be finalized so that I could finally take a breath and relax.
